Our amazing client's Simon and Carolyn are big enthusiasts of pop art, playful sculpture, bold colour and furniture design.

Our design for their kitchen extension aimed to draw on their passions as inspiration and create a piece of architecture that truly expressed who they are as people, as well as the things they love.
.
The result is a design that looks like 3D sculpture from some angles and 2d graphics from others, all the while maintaining the practical requirements of their home.
.
We believe that homes can be as unique as their owners.

This is the 4th in a series of 4 lifts that we designed as part of a temporary art installation for@thecollective_living at their Canary Wharf site.
The lifts respond to the client’s design brief and narrative of ‘emotion' within the building. Our installation sought to depict a different emotion for each lift making each journey a unique and memorable experience. The emotion for Lift 4 is Joy.

Joy, to remind us what’s important. Yellow, to stimulate and energise. Fizzing bubbles, playful and fun, perfect for celebrating Christmas! 🥂 🍾

Through a careful analysis of the link between colour, form and emotion the graphic representation developed for each lift was distributed across internal surfaces. Colour, light and reflection combine to create an immersive, chromatic experience representing the link between emotional and physical wellbeing.
